Stacie Gibbs was born and raised in Carrollton. After graduating from Carrollton High School, she moved to Atlanta to study Criminal Justice at Georgia State University. While there, she participated in an internship program with the Atlanta Police Department and, upon graduating, began her career as an Atlanta Police Officer. She retired from the department in 2021 after 30 years of service. Stacie served in numerous positions but said her final assignment, which included working with the Atlanta City Council, was one of her favorites. “It was a motivating factor in my decision to run for office.”
She now enjoys working part-time at Atlanta West Jewelry. Stacie has one son, Skyler, and is a lifelong Carrollton First Methodist Church member.
