The Finance Department plans, supervises and directs the city’s financial management program for all accounting functions including cash management, investments, receivables, capital assets and accounts payable. The department coordinates city insurance programs including general liability, property/casualty and worker’s compensation insurance. Finance administers city taxes, cash receipts and general revenues. The department also is responsible for facilitation of the annual independent audit of the city and the annual budget process. Additionally, the department provides financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders including the mayor and council, city management and citizens.
