 ‘Tis the season to celebrate Christmas in Downtown Carrollton! Bring your family to Adamson Square for an altogether merry evening of fun. Explore the shops and eateries downtown and drop your wish list to Santa in our very special mailbox. Wrap up your day with the Carrollton Christmas Parade and enjoy the lights and decorations that will add a sparkle to your evening.

Christmas Parade: 5:30pm
Theme: 12 Days of Christmas

Please note the NEW 2025 parade rules.

The Christmas Parade will begin on Bradley St. near Minden Ave and progress north through Adamson Square. It will continue down Rome St. and conclude at the intersection with Spring St. by Neva Lomason Library.

Merry Market: 10am-3pm
Shop, skate and snack at the Merry Market, Saturday, December 6, by the Polar Pavilion at East Carrollton Park. Explore gift vendors, local artists and creators. It’s sure to be an altogether jolly day at the Merry Market! Market is full.

TubaChristmas at the Amp: 2pm
Enjoy tuba players from throughout the area perform traditional Christmas Carols at the Amp.

SEC Championship at the Amp: 4pm
Bring your chairs to catch the SEC championship game at the Amp. 

Christmas Crafts: 4pm
Kids activities will be set up on Adamson Square under the giant snowflake. Craft and create while you wait for the parade to begin. Enjoy hot chocolate from the Carrollton Police trailer.

    1. Candy may NOT be thrown OR passed out from parade participants. This is a safety hazard for people running into the road under large trucks.
    2. No distribution of paper collateral or promo items shall take place any time during the event, including the parade precession. Any business/group found distributing such materials will be found in violation. This includes coupons, business cards, advertisements and flyers.
    3. No confetti of any kind! Our street sweepers have difficulty cleaning up confetti.
    4. Max of 2 vehicles (truck pulling a float counts as one unit) per business/organization.
    5. These vehicles are NOT permitted:
      – Semi-trucks
      – Roll off containers
      – Squatted trucks
      – Dump trucks
      – Lifted trucks
      – Tow trucks
      – Enclosed trailers
      – Non street legal vehicles
    1. Parade staff are not responsible for escorting any children to their float.
    2. Participants will load in from E. Center Street ONLY. DO NOT attempt to load-in via Bradley St. Refer to the load-in map for the ONLY way to enter the parade line-up.
    3. Parade participants will be emailed load-in details close to parade day. Due to pedestrian safety there will be NO VEHICLES between the Depot on Bradley and Center Street during load-in.
