Position Information
Description: Under limited supervision, plans, coordinates, inspects, and monitors engineering projects. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining data on road inventory, road improvements, pavement markings, traffic accidents, storm drainage deficiencies, and water and sewer projects. Reports to City Engineer.

Training and Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering (or related) or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.

Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to operate a variety of office machines, instruments, and heavy equipment, including a personal computer, copier, calculator, surveying instruments, ½ ton pick-up truck, portable radio, etc. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. Must be able to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for active work. Must be able to lift and/or carry weight of twenty to forty pounds.
