The comedy/drama The Last Night of Ballyhoo, written by Driving Miss Daisy playwright, Alfred Uhry, is set in an upper-class German-Jewish community in 1939 Atlanta. Adolph Freitag’s family confronts prejudice, ethnic bias and religious identity while looking forward to Ballyhoo, a lavish cotillion ball sponsored by their restrictive country club.
