The Carrollton Bluefins competitive swimmers made a big splash at the Georgia Recreation and Park Association’s annual state swim meet, July 16-17 in Cumming, GA. Congratulations to all of Carrollton’s swimmers for a great season.
GRPA State Championship 10 and Under
- Bella Truss in the 7/8 age group swept the GRPA podium with three first place wins – maximum in individual events.
- Samantha Sigman in the 9/10 age group earned two first place finishes as well as a second.
- Julian Truss in the 7/8 age group took seventh place in the Fly.
- Hank Burson in the 9/10 age group took eighth place in the 100 IM.
- The relay team of Aubree Waldrop, Julian Truss, Makelvie Templeton and Matthew Bennett placed fourth overall in the 7/8 100 Free Relay.
- The team of Hank Burson, Bella Truss, Samantha Sigman and Jackson Perez took third in the 9/10 Mixed Medley Relay. This group of swimmers also took fourth in the 100 Free Relay.
GRPA State Championship 11 and Over
- Alexis Knoll in the 11/12 age group had three top eight finishes.
- Mia Perez in the 11/12 age group had two top eight finishes.
- Ellie J. Williamson had three top eight finishes.
- Orion Jackson in the 11/12 age group had a top eight finish.
- Miguel Simon DeFeo in the 11/12 age group had three top eight finishes.
- Evalyn Cogan in the 13/14 age group one top eight finish.
- Huck Maxwell in the 13/14 age group had three top eight finishes.
- Avery Sellers in the 15-18 age group had 11 top eight finishes.
- The team of Ryan Perez, Alex Knoll, Haylyn Sanzari and Ellie J Williamson won fourth place in the 200 Girl’s Medley Relay and third in the 200 Free Relay.
- Aidan Nguyen, Tailer Tran, Patrick Hutchinson, Elijah Jackson won seventh place in the 14 and Under Boy’s 200 Free Relay .
- Isabel Tate, Huck Maxwell, Evalyn Cogan and Caleb Richter won fourth place in the 14 and Under Mixed Medley Relay and fourth place in the 200 Free Mixed Relay.
- The team of Ella Barden, Ali Sellers, Avery Sellers and Emma McBride took fifth place in the 15/18 Girl’s 200 Medley Relay.
