On June 14, Carrollton’s Mayor Betty Cason and the city council recognized June 2021 as National Safety Month. The city joined the National Safety Council and Magna Decostar in urging local citizens to practice safe and healthy behaviors in all aspects of their lives.
The National Safety Council, founded in 1913, works to promote policies and practices leading to increased safety, protection and health in business, schools, on the road and in homes and communities. Since the summer season is a time of increased rates of unintentional injuries and deaths, the NSC chose June to focus attention on injury risks and accident prevention.
