Position Information
Description: Under limited direction, assists the Parks and Facilities Superintendent in managing the administration of all department facilities and parks, ensuring that all are properly maintained and repaired regularly. Duties include ensuring that all equipment, machines, and tools are properly maintained, repaired, and replaced by coordinating efforts with subordinate staff. Responsible for selling cemetery lots and maintaining cemetery records and maps. Reports to the Parks and Facilities Superintendent and is part of the Department’s Senior Staff.
Training and Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred recreation management, or related field); with 3-5 years of progressive management experience as a Coordinator or Supervisor of a similar sized division within a similar department; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to operate various office equipment, such as a computer, typewriter, calculator, etc. Must be able to use body members to work, move, or carry objects or materials. Must be able to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for sedentary to active work. Must be able to lift and/or carry a weight of twenty to forty pounds.
