TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF CARROLLTON, GA:
Notice is hereby given that on the 2nd day of November 2021, an election will be held in the regular six (6) polling places for the City of Carrollton.
This election will be for the following offices:
City Council: Wards 1 & 2 – qualifying fee of $216
City School Board: Wards 2& 3 – qualifying fee of $126
City School Board: At Large Seat – qualifying fee of $126
Qualifying will take place in the office of the Carrollton City Clerk, Carrollton City Hall, 315 Bradley Street, Carrollton GA beginning Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 8:30am and ending on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 4:30pm. Daily hours for qualifying are 8:30am to 4:30pm.
All candidates offering for City Council must be a registered voter in the City of Carrollton for a period of twelve months prior to the election, live in the ward you are qualifying for, and be at least 25 years of age.
All candidates offering for School Board by Ward must be a registered voter in the City of Carrollton for a period of twelve months prior to the election, live in the ward you are qualifying for, and be at least 21 years of age. All candidates offering for School Board At Large must be a registered voter in the City of Carrollton for a period of twelve months prior to the election and be at least 21 years of age.
The last day to register to vote in this election will be Monday, October 4, 2021. In the event of a Runoff from this election, it will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
